Obtain clear workplace permission
Before recording, confirm that an authorized owner, manager or other appropriate workplace representative permits the activity and understands the intended recording area. Follow site-specific rules even when they are stricter than the general project guidance.
If permission is refused, limited or withdrawn, do not record outside that permission. Never hide the camera or suggest that applying to the project gives you a right to record at work.
Protect people and confidential information
Frame the task rather than unrelated people. Avoid faces, conversations, customer information, computer screens, payment details, badges, addresses, documents, passwords, health information and any material your workplace treats as confidential.
Anyone who may appear should be handled according to the current project consent instructions. If private information cannot be excluded, choose another eligible task or stop the recording.
Do not let recording create a hazard
The phone holder must not block vision, hearing, required protective equipment or safe movement. Do not record while driving or during any activity where the device could distract you, violate a safety rule or increase risk.
- Complete a safe fit and visibility check before the task.
- Keep required protective equipment fully functional.
- Pause immediately during an emergency or unexpected hazard.
- Choose a different task if safe recording is uncertain.
Review the footage before uploading
Look for accidental disclosures, people entering the frame, visible screens or documents, unsafe behavior and any deviation from the approved recording area. Follow the project's current instructions for unsuitable footage rather than uploading it simply to increase duration.
