How getting paid to record task videos really works.

Crossing Hurdles offers flexible projects where eligible contributors record original first-person videos of real household or workplace tasks. Compensation depends on the project and applies only to recording time that meets its requirements and is approved.

Current rates by project

LATAM Residential pays $6 USD per approved recording hour. USA Residential pays $12 USD per approved video hour. LATAM Commercial pays $10 USD, Canada Commercial pays $12 USD and USA Commercial pays $15 USD per approved recording hour.

These amounts are compensation rates for accepted recording duration in the named project. They should not be interpreted as a salary, a guaranteed hourly wage for all time spent or a promise that a certain volume of tasks will be available.

Choose the project that matches where you really record

The residential opportunities cover eligible everyday activities in your own home in Latin America or the United States, depending on the project. Commercial opportunities require authentic routine work in an eligible active workplace in the matching region.

A higher rate does not make someone eligible for a different country or setting. Accurate applications protect candidates from completing the wrong setup and help the team assess the correct opportunity.

Is this a remote job or a work-from-home opportunity?

The application and any setup are completed online, and participation can be flexible, but the recording location depends on the project. LATAM Residential and USA Residential recordings happen at home in the matching region. Commercial recordings are completed onsite in an eligible active workplace, so those projects are not work-from-home roles.

These are contribution projects subject to assessment, recording review and availability—not guaranteed employment, fixed hours or guaranteed earnings.

From application to possible payment

Submit accurate details, complete the on-screen setup in order, record only eligible tasks, upload according to the project instructions and allow the recordings to be reviewed.

  • Application submission does not guarantee acceptance.
  • Setup time, waiting time and rejected recordings are not described as approved recording hours.
  • Only recording duration that satisfies the standard and is approved is eligible for payment.
  • Keep copies of official project messages and use the same email address throughout the process.

Check the official page before relying on a job post

Search results and social posts can become outdated. Confirm the current rate, region, equipment and environment on apply.crossinghurdles.com before applying or purchasing equipment.

Crossing Hurdles does not charge an application or recruitment fee. Equipment requirements are disclosed on the applicable project page, and some required equipment may need to be obtained at the contributor's own expense.

Flexible does not mean automatic

You may be able to choose when to record within the project rules, but eligibility, task availability, recording approval and payment still depend on the current project requirements.
